Join Rabbi Brazner for a series of one-off classes on Reform Movement Responsa. The Reform Movement‘s Responsa Committee (made up of CCAR rabbis) provides answers to questions that are submitted concerning contemporary issues in Jewish life and living, applying Jewish scholarship and tradition to modern inquiries. While responsa are not binding, they do provide direction from our Movement to local rabbis as they, in turn, provide support and guidance to their communities. The Responsa Committee has tackled issues ranging from abortion to flag-burning; the issues are broad and can spark fierce debate!
