Join Rabbi Rothstein for this series where we will dive deep into the scroll of Esther, Song of Songs, and the Book of Ruth and learn about the connection between each of these books that are traditionally read during Purim, Passover and Shavuot (respectively).
If God is not mentioned in the book of Esther, why is it read during Purim? The love story described in Song of Songs is evocative - what is its relationship to Passover? How does a story like Ruth, named for a non-Jew, come to be the story associated with the holiday of Shavuot, which celebrates our receiving the Torah? Explore these questions and more and add a new way to appreciate the holidays!
This event is in person and virtual; a zoom link will be provided closer to the session for those who are participating virtually.
